For the culmination project in my Introduction to Typography class, we were to make a typeface and create two supplementary designs showing it off in use. For my typeface, I wanted to create a light, modern, and classy stylized serif typeface. The name of Dai Cieli comes from Italian, meaning “from the heavens.” It fits the vibe and aesthetic I wanted for the typeface: light, elegant, classy, and modern.
