For this project, I was tasked with creating a conceptual editorial illustration that corresponded with an article chosen out of 3 options. I chose the article "Middle East Muslims are Finding Jesus. Can They Fit Within a Weakened Church?" by Jayson Casper. The following illustration depicts a hopeful man desperately throwing seeds behind him in a dry and barren desert. Without the man's knowledge, the thrown seeds sprout into healthy and dense foliage. This symbolizes the desperateness of the Middle Eastern Christians as they grow up in an environment that heavily punishes anything that isn't Islam.
