The prompt for this project was to create a poster and three social media posts detailing and advertising an event of my choosing. I chose to have a "pool party," but for billiards and not swimming. With an event centered around billiards, I wanted to bring out the vintage, rustic setting of billiards while bringing in the colors of the table and elements of the game. To do this, I used darker and semi-faded versions of the colors. I used forest green, off-white, and pool balls to create a theme throughout my poster and social media posts. Pulling everything together, I rounded the corners of the boxes to match the rounded balls but used a sharp, serif font to create visual interest and keep with the vintage theme. Overall, the design flows through the social media posts, and the poster ties it together as one project.
