This project was a satirical yet informative publication that explored the conspiracy theories surrounding the Denver International Airport while debunking them through design and storytelling. The challenge was to embrace the aesthetic of conspiracy while ultimately guiding readers toward rational explanations. Constraints included using up to three colors (however I opted for a strictly two-color design), creating visually interesting and persuasive imagery and typography, and incorporating an interactive detail somewhere in the book.
The final outcome was a visually compelling, highly engaging publication that leaned into the drama of conspiracy theories while dismantling them with wit and clever design. Through strategic typography, layered compositions, and playful yet informative copywriting, the project created an immersive experience that entertained, informed, and, most importantly, proved that DEN is just an airport, albeit one with a demon horse and some weird murals.
